Klaipeda LNG Terminal secondary market transactions will be available on GSA Platform

Klaipeda LNG Terminal Operator launched  from 1 April 2023, the re-sale of LNG regasification capacities on secondary market, which will be operated by the GSA Platform in line with the agreement concluded with Klaipėdos nafta, AB.

It will enable Klaipeda LNG Terminal users to sell unused LNG regasification capacities using GSA Platform. Resale offers on the GSA Platform will be made available in two options: FCFS (First Come First Served) and CFO (Call For Orders).

The GSA Platform was selected through a tender procurement conducted by Klaipeda LNG Terminal Operator  for selection of the secondary capacity trading platform for regasification services.

LNG Secondary Market Service is a new functionality available on the GSA Platform, offered to LNG terminal operators since 28 February 2023, pursuant to the provisions of Council Regulation (EU) 2022/2576 of 19 December 2022 enhancing solidarity through better coordination of gas purchases, reliable price benchmarks and exchanges of gas across borders. Currently, secondary market transactions are available for services provided by the Operator of LNG Terminal in Świnoujście – GAZ-SYSTEM.
